Upper Respiratory Infection!

So the night before last I started feeling a little sick. Soar throat, tiny cough, and just kinda aching. Yesterday morning I woke up and felt like a truck had hit me! It was really painful to breath, my throat felt like I had drank straight acid, and I was coughing SO bad. I immediately made a doctors appointment. I was a work in so I sat up there for HOURS. When I was finally seen I found out I had an upper respiratory infection. They have me antibiotics and cough syrup. I took my meds and went home and slept for a really long time while my step mom watched Bell. I woke up when she came to put Bell down for the night and I had a fever. It started around 101.4 and worked its way to 102.8 before it finally broke! I finally made it back to sleep and when I woke up this morning I felt almost completely healthy! It just amazed me how quickly I got so horribly sick and then again how I got so much better.

I know my smoking habit is probably to blame. I have smoked regularly since I was 12 years old. I've tried to quit a handful of times with no luck but maybe it's time to try harder....

          Recently my girlfriend told me how much she really likes girls who dress up all rockabilly. I had not ever even seen the type of style she was talking about so I did a little hunting around on the internet and got the idea. It's a mix of rocker chick and 50's pin up! I was already the rocker chick type with the tattoos and piercings and dark hair and what not. I decided to give it a go on one of our date nights and Mac LOVED it! So its what I've been doing a lot lately. I've tried it more and more and I think I have decided this is the look for me! I've actually had a stranger even stop me just to tell me that she liked my style and that I was so pretty! Nothing like that has ever happened to me before! lol

So Much Change!

          Wow! SO much has changed since the last time I was blogging! In the last year my other three children have gone to live with their father, I have a beautiful new daughter named Bell, and I have started a relationship with an amazingly sweet and sexy genderqueer who we will call Mac. Life got pretty hard and horrible there for a little while but I think things are really looking up now. I'm excited for the future and am full of hope.

          I've started a business with eBay that I am really enjoying! I hunt for things to sell at thrift stores and goodwills that I think I can resell on eBay and seem to be doing pretty good! My seller ID is AprilAnn87 so check out my store when you get a chance!

Mac and I have been together for 10 months now! She is perfect for me and loves me and Bell and all of my children so much! She is their Maddy (Mama-Daddy combo). At the moment she is still finishing her college and we both live at home with our parents. Its difficult sometimes because my dad and step mom wont let her visit here because we are gay and her dad is the same way. Both our moms are happy for us tho. Her mom even accepts Bell as her own grandbaby. We deal with the situation the best that we can tho and are both working for our family to be together in our own home as soon as possible.

          They have been doing great by the way. Leo continued to have a few problems for a little while but he has straightened out and really enjoys school. They both look forward to that and going to Oma and Opa's on the weekends.

Poor Cousin :(

          So my cousin, we will call her maylie, is a really sweet little 18 year old girl. She is going through so much heart ache right now. Our grandmother died a little over a year ago and they were extremely close. Now her grandfather is having heart attacks and her mother has been diagnosed with crones disease. She got in a car accident and her vehicle, even though its still drivable, is in bad shape. Since our grandmother got sick she has been taking on more and more responsibilities for EVERYONE. up until about a week ago, she was in charge of cooking and cleaning for two separate households in addition to going to school and trying to find a job to support herself...When she tried to talk about all of this with her mother it escalated into a fight that led to maylie moving out and now her mother is just completely disowning her after ALL the things she has done for her and for her grandfather and even her grandmother when she was alive. I feel so horrible for her. I wish I was in a better position to become the mother figure she is needing. I AM going to help her as much as possible though. She is such a good girl and she really had way too much put on her for way too long now. I know this hurts her but I'm glad that she is getting this chance to do things on her own and to live a little more like a normal 18 year old girl! She is living with her best friend and the girls grandparents now. she has her own room and she is attending the University of South Alabama. Luckily she had good insurance and is expecting a check from them soon so that will cover either replacing or fixing her car. My mom is going to try and help her get on at Wal-Mart too. She has a really good starting point right now so i hope that she will keep her head up and on straight so she can make the most of it. Keep her in your thoughts.

LOVE the weekend!

           So you guys know I'm a single mommy of three little ones. Since my boys have started school my dad and step mom have come and got them on Fridays and brought them back Sunday sometime. It's  SOO nice to just have emmaly for a couple days! It really is unreal how much more simple it is to just take care of one little one at a time. So word to all the young mothers: put a few years in between youngens! If I hear a mother  that already has a young child tell me "yeah...we are trying for another" my first reaction will always be "NO!" lol
